What is the Buzz Feiten System, and why should I use it:

As guitarists, we have all experienced the same age-old problem: You play a G chord, then a D, A, etc, and you're in tune. But what happens when you try to play a full barred D chord? That pesky B string is flat or sharp, right. Over the years, we've all just learned to fudge it a bit and live with it. That's just the nature of guitars.

Why is that?

For years, guitars have been designed and built using the same algorithm for nut placement and intonation settings. The historical method of intonating each string to itself results in what is called "Equal temperament". This formula is the standard practice for all of today's guitars, but was abandoned by piano tuners in the 1600s because it simply was not accurate. And when is the last time you heard an out-of-tune piano?

The Buzz Feiten Solution

The Buzz Feiten Tuning System is an integrated system that is an entirely new approach to achieving pleasing and correct intonation for guitars. Perfect intonation, anywhere on the neck, regardless of the chord structure! The Buzz Feiten System permits every guitar (and bass) to play in every fret position with equally pleasing intonation results. Trust us, once we hear it, it was impossible to go back to playing a "standard" guitar!

How is that possible?

The Buzz Feiten Tuning System combines a correct nut placement with intonation to be set at slightly different offsets. Instead of the "old way" of intonating each string to itself, the Feiten System intonates the strings with each other, resulting in the best possible intonation available today.
