The October 12 String Bass is a revolutionary approach to the relatively unknown 12 string bass.  In true October fashion, we took a look at the standards of other 12 string basses currently on the market, and fixed their problems to make our 12 string basses stand above all others. A bold statement, but  currently a number of high profile 12 string basses users agree! The October 12 String bass delivers everything you'd expect from a 12 string, and more! We are the first company to incorporate a 3 piece, opposing grain neck-thru design on a 12 string bass, adding much-needed stability. In turn, the neck-thru design adds increased sustain and resonance. Additionally, we are THE FIRST company to offer a pickup designed specifically to capture the full frequency spectrum of the 12 string bass. This is ONLY available from October Guitars! 

Not happy to stop there, the October 12 String basses feature a brass nut for increased clarity. Other features include 2 passive October brand "Prism" pickups with an on-board active preamp to push all those frequencies through your rig with power and force. An easy access back panel provides quick and simple battery switching for your preamp. Gone are the days of removing your control cavity plate to check your battery. Also featured on the October models are separate bridge saddles fro precise intonation, 26 full frets with a wide fretboard to accommodate finger-style players and well as more room for chording, and a sculpted body design that is comfortable and most importantly, keeps the bass from being neck heavy. All Custom USA models come in a variety of colors, pearls, and metallic paints, as well as beautifully dyed AAA flame and quilted maple tops. Dye colors such as transparent black (shown) and burgundy (shown) are fast becoming favorites.  All October basses come with a form-fitting hard shell case.
